This tournament started way to late in july.....The weather forecast not looking good for the next few days , really compounds the problem......The state tournament starts july 31 with the district tournament possibly ending july 28 , and thats if cancelled games are somehow squeezed in...... District 11 champion is schedule to play district 4 champion july 31......This is crazy starting a state tournament without having all options open as who you pitch first game.......... If its a hard fight for the district 11 title looks to me like their at a disadvantage unless all districts have the same tournament ending date..... Do I have the correct starting date for the state tournament? Also was wondering if anybody has any information as to the other districts ending this close to the state tournament ?

Chesapeake over Northwest was considered a final.

Unofficially, Fairland and Lucasville will resume their game at 6:00 today and Rock Hill and Minford will play at 6:00 today. The 8:00 game tonight will likely be CG vs SW which was originally scheduled for 6:00 today. West vs. the Fairland/Lucasville winner will have to be moved back a day as well as the Ironton/Portsmouth game.

Again this is all unofficlal at this point until a new plan is confirmed. Of course all in contingent upon the fields being playable today which is dicey considered how much rain fell overnight and the forecast for today.

You are correct on the district ending dates and the state tourney opening date. I can say that 2 district champions have already been determined at this point so all district tourneys do not start and end at the same time.

Does anyone know if the SW/CG game is still on or is it pushed back also?

That's funny..Ironton still haven't used some of their best pitching...if you have been watching...we have used a different pitcher every game..and you still haven't seen all of our pitching..so as far as depth..they have saved them back too..should be a good one tonight....

As far as batting is concerned and defense..Ironton looks to be the better team...as far as pitching..we will see tonight...kids at this age aren't always predictable..but if Ironton's pitching is on tonight..I feel the Tigers will be going to the Championship...Go Tigers..

that is correct, 6-1 til the top of the 3rd i believe then it jumped to 8-2 end of 4 then 14-2 in the top of the 6th then ended with 14-4,

ironton got lucky on some early walks and errors on the burg ,, but thats part of the game. should be a dandy tuesday night

Tigers played good ball last night...hit the ball well and played great defense..I believe giving up four hits and through five...then in the sixth gave up three errors after our SS went down..kids were a little shaken up...overall..it was a great game..both teams kids played their hearts out..Ironton was just too much..and as far as pitching..Ironon still haven't shown some of their better pitchers...wow..way to go Tigers....One more victory til the state...Go Tigers!!!
