Boys Jr High Basketball.

Who will have some of the best boys 7th and 8th grade teams this year. I know westerns 8th grade will have a shot at going undefeated. The seventh grade will struglle for a while but hopefully can improve throughout the year if they are coached up.

Western will play Southeastern this year @ Southeastern on Dec. 28th. Don't under estimate the Panthers.
Not to many boys can stop Dylan Miles or Jake Skeens, when they want to score. They are fast!!!!!!!!!
Southeastern will play Unioto, Zane Trace, Piketon, and Chillicothe before they play Western. Tough schedule for December.

The clay 8th grade team didn't expect what they saw from eastern last Thursday night. They were alot better then last year they've really been working I think they have a great shot at winning the soc tittle this year. But props to Hurt Phipps Smith and Wallburn for some great hustle the hurt boy scored 9 the Phipps boy scored 3 and Wallburn had 4 but im not sure on Wallburn or Smith boy. hurt put up some great hustle I don't think I've seen him hustle like that since early last year. But good job to all the panther boys they did a great job they didn't give up.

I agree about the hustle clayfan158. I was talking to some Eastern parents, they thought they would beat Clay by more. Eastern had several boys who played up to 8th grade last year, not playing any 7th during the season. Boy did it show, they are the team to beat in my opinion.

You all act like Western hasnt gotten any better. Just wait until you see them. Eastern will not beat Western at Western and will have their hands full at home. Beating Clay doenst make u the class of the leauge.

i dont think anyone said that it made us the class of the league just saying Eastern has improved from last yr and not that Western hasnt but Eastern had 2 7th graders on 8 grade team last yr now that they are in the line up it just made us better thats all anyone has said. but now that we did beat clay that makes it a 2 team race so come january 10th and 24th we will find out who the better team is .

Clay played very well againist green monday night very good to all three teams 7th grade picked up first win. If it wasn't for larges great free throw shooting at the end of the game they probly wouldn't have pulled out the w. All 7th grade boys played very well. I have to say the girls played very good too. The 8th grade boys had a very good night shooting the ball even with them missing a guard wallburn put up a great 10 points and hurt had 8 points if those tooo keep hustling and improving they maybe back into the hunt. They boys in my opinion just don't want it as bad as they did last year they have no one to blame but themselves. But they acted like they wanted it pretty bad last night they need to want it like that very night. But good luck clay boys and clay girls.

Couldn't make the game, I didn't know about it. I only saw the boys play Eastern, I think you are dead on clayfan158 about them not seeming to have the desire of last year. Who wasn't there? Why?

Phillips wasn't there he was out of town visting family. I've thought that since some of the boys wasn't comming to summer stuff.

Clay has a nice 8th grade team and i really like there coach. That being said western spanked them at home and lost by two on the road when a last second shot didnt go down with the shanks kid not playing one minute. They will not beat western this year. So that right there is two losses.

I was there at both games and I remember two spankings. That was the 8th grade Clay team beating the Indians. The 7th grade Clay team lost to the Indains but it was no spanking. The night Clay won all I heard from the Indians was excuses for the loss, and once again the Indians are making up excuses for the loss now. It was a loss!!! Take it for what it was!!! Clay boys did and did something about it!! I wouldn't count out the incoming 8th grade Clay team. From what I've heard they have played all summer long together and they have some new talent coming in. It should be interesting year. GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE TEAMS!!!

the upcoming 8th grade indians have not quite playing basketball from last year we are going to whip clay eastern beat them by 14 and we can beat eastern and we did not make any excuses we did not have our team captain which did hurt us and thats all we said
