Compton is very good at Clay. Like Notre Dames coach, dont know his name. King is good at Eastern. Of course I am biased but think Western Coaches are doing a great job with the Jr High.

I think all the coaches in the SOC deserve a hand. They do the best that they can do with what talent they are given. Coaches Rowe and King at Eastern do a very good job. They not only bring out the talent in the kids but they try to develop them into better young adults.

I was at the meet the Panthers night last night, doesn't look good for Clay. They only had 4 7th grade boys there. From what people were saying, that's all they have. I didn't get to talk to Compton, but what a disappointing lack of boys it has to be. From the penthouse last year to the outhouse this year. Sad, sad, sad!

I think westerns, notre dames, compton and easterns are very good. But notre dames coach and easterns don't have as much expernice, but they are very good and I think they'll have a future in caoching maybe high school ball at some point.

i think western has the best coaches there 7th grade last year won the division and the 8th grade didnt have a bench and they still did good
Re: Best coach in soc1
Not so fast, Mr. Durst. Clay's only 7th grade loss during the regular season was to Western, but they also beat Western. There is no such thing as a "division" in Jr. high. But if there was, the best they did was tie with Clay. The BeastMr.Durst#11 wrote:i think western has the best coaches there 7th grade last year won the division and the 8th grade didnt have a bench and they still did good

Coach Dean Wray for the Clay Jr. High is doing a great job with the girls.
He has lead the 8th grade girls undefeated so far and they plan to stay that way.

I am pleased to see the hustle out of the Panthers boys teams. The talent of the opposition lately (except for Notre Dame) hasn't been the best, but they are seemingly "getting it" that they have to play hard every game. I don't know if the boys can beat Western, or Eastern, but I think they will be better games than most think.
