Wait a minute, I really can take very little of the credit for my kids learning the game. They learned the game from playing AAU and from their AAU coach.
You might want to take a look at Jasmine Wilson from Wellston. She's a sixth grader and has been forced to play with my boys team this season because there isn't any competition for her locally and not enough interest in Wellston to create a girl's team. She's a great all sport athlete and her parents are very supportive of traveling!
The coaches of the Bobcats that coach the 4th grade team play about 40 games a year. They just don't play in their little league. You would be alot better off not listening to Tall One.She caused so much trouble in Logan and just about ruined her daughters basketball career.
Her career hasn't even begun yet, so how could it be ruined.lol. At least I had enough sense to get while the gettin was good as my mother used to say. How on earth can you be so hateful to one of your former players?
Not tryn 2 get off the beatn path but if your 4th Bobcats team plays 40+ games a year, how do they qualify for the Hoop Jam, sounds like 2 me they would b consider a "all star" or at the very least a "traveling team" just like the LYBA school team that "travels" to c-bus 2 play n COBA.......JMO

I am not sure but I dont believe state regulations on traveling, or how many girls from the same school are on the same AAU team, is not a factor until 7th grade. Basically none of the regulations that would cause a team or player to become ineligible apply til the 7th grade.
Esully, I think what they ar saying is that no "travel" teams are allowed, either AAU or teams that handpick the best of a school district and travel around and play tourny and other Pee Wee teams, that is my guess. And you are right, number of players doesnt take affect till 7th grade when they fall under OHSAA regs. Course Ohio is one of the few states that hinders team development in this way, but that is another subject.
SW 5&6 is loaded, but the three players are all spoken for I believe, Cap City and WV Thunder last year. Also, the Logan 4th grade is a good group of girls, I have personally spoke with a couple of parents who were interested in playing, so they are not opposed to it, but like I said you area has a good vball travel system, that affects kids decisions. My belief is that when you commit to travel teams, you should commit to one, it is not fair to miss practices and games for one team or the other, too much money and time is spent, so I applaud those who say we are going with one travel team only.

They said state tournement so I was assuming high school, what I am saying is you can have an aau team all from the same school until 7th grade then I believ you are limited to 2 or 3 from the same school. As far as webster goes, I believe only two are spoken for and I think they might be deeper than that.
Webster girls team for 5-6th is pretty good, weve won like 45 str8 games.
