Ironton over South Point 4-2...With bases loaded in the sixth with two outs and two strikes the Dillon kid hit a bomb to deep center...Tanner Wilson scaled the fence and jumped up and over the fence to rob him of a granny to ice the game...what a game...Ironton faces the Burg in the finals.

Today at 5:30 according to a parent who has a boy on the team. Good Luck Ironton and Burg! If Burg wins, they are the District Champions. If Ironton wins, I believe they would take a break and play again tonight. The District representative is due in Hamilton on 7/21.

Good luck to the Burg...would have loved to have seen this game played with Ironton not missing the two starters and having one of their top pitchers available, however, Burg was the better team that day and on that note good luck and make southern Ohio proud at state.

Looks like they lost their first game on Sunday to Dover 14-9. Then won in the loser's bracket against Tallmadge 13-8. They play the loser of Mt. Vernon & W. Hamilton tomorrow at 7:00 PM.

Wheelersburg lost to Mt. Vernon tonight 17-14. Looks as though Wheelersburg had a 11-0 lead at some point before Mt. Vernon came back.
