Burg vs. P-West 7th grade 1/14/08
Burgs 7th grade team last night looked like they had a case of the BIG HEAD. Did not score a single point in the 1st qtr.That was the worse I have seen that team play all year. They still won by 10 but a very sloppy game. They have a great ball team when the kids come out and go 100% from the tip, but when you come out and go half speed its hard to turn in on when you want too and thats what happened last night. Congrats on going 9-0 ,hopefully that game woke some of the players up last night and they go into Valley on Thurs. ready to play 100% from start to finish.. Go Burg!!

I completely agree with 91Grad. I'm not sure what those boys were thinking about but it certainly wasn't the game at hand. They finally found their groove and started making shots but it was almost too little too late. Final was 39-29.
I gotta say the 8th grade game was one of the best played games I have seen on any level in a long time. The West boys never once gave up. They kept the pressure on and played with true heart. Both teams knew they had played one heck of a game last night. The Burg boys came away with the win in overtime 47-40.
It was a very exciting night but let's not have any more of those, ok?
