Vinton County will once again be hosting its elementary basketball camp for boys between the grades of 2nd and 8th. The dates are June 9-12. Grades 2-5 will be from 9AM to noon, and grades 6-8 will be from 1PM to 4PM. For more info, including a camp brochure, go to:

I went to the web page you gave...and it will not let me get in...Can you send me some info on the camp....like how much $$$ for 7th and 8th grades kids....you know things like that...THANKS

Here is the basic info:
The dates are June 9-12 (Monday through Thursday). Players entering the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades are in the first session from 9Am to noon. Players entering the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades are in session two from 1PM until 4PM. The cost is $50. This includes a T-Shirt, and a basketball for session 1, or a T-Shirt and backpack for session II. There will also be awards for league winners, FT Champion, Hot Shot Champion, etc.....
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday include two hours of instruction and one hour of games
Thursday is all games and competitions, and parents are welcome to come watch.
If you want to enter, you don't really have to have a flyer, just call Matt Combs at 740-649-6101.

You can enter just one kid. In fact that's what most people do. If you have two kids from the same family, we do offer a discount.
After watching the kids in the first couple of hours, the coaching staff tries to split the teams up evenly based on skill level. Most of the kids are Vinton County students, but every year there are several kids from other districts too. We try to make everyone feel welcome.
