Athens 7th grade @ Gallia Academy 8.26.08

Post by coachovc »

This is Gallia Academy's opener. It will mark the debut of new head coach Winston Saunders who took over for long time 7th grade coach Bill Wamsley. Good luck Coach Saunders, Coach Moore, and Coach Perry.

the 7th grade blue devils is small in size but loaded with talent...they are lead by fb/Lb jacob white he is a varsity level talent at the 7th grade level, he is 5' 10" 160lbs and he is lightning fast it will take more than arm tackles to bring him down

Gallipolis led Athens' seventh graders 36-6 going into the final period. The White boy suffered a leg injury in the first half and never returned.

The Little Devils scored on their first three possessions in the first period and led 30-6 at halftime.

Prayers to Jacob, another poster said he was varsity level talent at the 7th grade level and that is no understatement. I heard he had a hammy problem and was removed form the scrimmage against the eigth grade in practice last week. Was he able to play long enough to account for the outburst to start the ballgame? I am assuming by those numbers that he was present at that point. This is a good group even w/o Jacob but he will be greatly missed, GREATLY MISSED!!!!!!! Get better Jake and let that thing heal the right way, better seasons are to come, that is for sure! Very very sad news!
