Girls or boys??? 7th or 8th???

Boys - I've got to go with Burg 8th, their record from last year speaks for itself and I think the 7th Burg and Minford will fight it out with West right behind.

Girls - 8th grade has West above Minford because they were unbeaten but I think it will depend on the new coaches for both teams this year and which team wants it more. The 7th grade girls.......................West and Minford have played each other well. I hate to wager a guess on this one. Minford has the deeper bench.

Should be some great games this year.

boys or girls.?
if its girls i think webster would have a pretty good chance.
last year the 8th grade team was all 7th graders so these girls didnt get to play with the right grade.

but i think webster would have a really good chance of making it...GoLadyJeeps!

Did SW not have enough for both grades? If the 7th graders played 8th, then who was on the 7th team? I know that there was a couple of good players that should be 7th graders this year.

It depends really if waverly picks the right people like hunter mckee and trevon bolin-hitchens they have a chance because mckee is 6'3 and bolin is 6'1 but notice mckee got cut last year

thts true tiger fan there is no way any jr high kid thts 6' 3'' should be cut.
but wat hurt waverly last year is they had weak ball handling.
there r deffinetly gonna be some changes made.
w/the arrival of 2 new players.

Is Hunter McKee really 6'3" or is that what they list in the program (because you can probably subtract about 2-3 inches from that)? Besides, it doesn't matter how tall a kid is if he can't play!! I'm not saying McKee can't play because I have never seen him play, but if the coaches are cutting a kid that tall, they probably did so with good reason!

I heard the west has a great team this year! both 7th and 8th will be tough. They both went to Fort Wayne this year in the AYBT finals They were competitve in all their games. I expect nothing less than an undeafeated year for both teams.

burg will be the favorite and then its a battle to see who can step up and compete with them. Would really have liked to have seen Waverly do some team stuff this summer, I saw the whole Piketon team at Rio this past camp and only saw a couple of 8th graders no 7th graders and I think 3 from younger kids from waverly and that was dissipointing. The mckee boy is 6'3 and probably shouldnt have been cut from last yrs team in my opinion though he would have been a project and if he wants to play this yr should have been in camps like rio grandes learning how to play. AAU ball is very important and you will see the better teams and players playing in these tournaments and leagues, its called commitment and I havent seen it from the waverly kids in the classes coming up like this yrs 7th and 8th grade class.

Hey crazymidgets remember the parents control the money just this year we spent $700 in rio camp, and about $1200 on AAU after you add up hotels gas food signing up costs thats alot of money to spend in 2 months for little kids and the hope that it will help them improve enough in that time to compeat for a good team.

yes it is expensive thats why I asked about the sponsership. I saw a lot of money turned in at Rio and it wasnt coming out of the parents pockets, the parents told me they had a sponser.

WOW! That could be considered a gift and against the OHHSA rules maybe they meant they had fund raisers to pay for it.JR high has to go by the same rules as high school.OHIO is rule crazy compared to the surrounding states .
