Junior High Tryouts
When is everyone having theirs. Thought it would be next week but a lfew of the coaches say they won't be ready.

SPECIFIC REGULATIONS — Grades 9-12
1) Coaching and instruction may begin — Girls: November 3, 2008

2008-09 BASKETBALL
C. SPECIFIC REGULATIONS — Grades 7 & 8
1) Coaching and instruction may begin — Girls: November 3, 2008
Boys: November 10, 2008
2) First game — Girls: November 28, 2008
Boys: December 5, 2008
3) Coaching and Season end — Girls: February 28, 2009
Boys: March 7, 2009
4) Scrimmages or Previews — Maximum of two scrimmages or one scrimmage and one
preview.
5) Regular season games — Maximum of 14 games plus one postseason tournament not to
exceed four games by one team. Each game played in an invitational tournament must be
counted toward the maximum allowed.
6) Rules — National Federation Basketball.
7) Basketball — The approved ball shall have a circumference minimum of 28 1/2 inches to
a maximum of 29 inches for grades 7-8 competition.
Officials — Minimum of one OHSAA Class 1, Class 2 or Class 3 basketball official
required. Recommended that all other officials be Class 1, 2 or 3 or basketball officials in
training.
