Re: Peebles v.s. Whiteoak Showdown
As long as the Peebles kids come into the game focused and ready to play, which I highly anticipate them doing then the Indians will come out on top. They are just too deep and talented. Their big kids have grown a lot since last year and they have three pretty solid post players who play their roles. Peebles is just too deep and talented and they can bring in a lot of guys off the bench who would be starting at any other school in the SHL.

I don't care how good WO looked against North Adams it couldn't even compare to the game that i saw Peebles have against North Adams....Peebles looks by far like the best team in the SHL and until they get beat or loose half their team to injuries I think most people will agree with that statement
Re: Peebles v.s. Whiteoak Showdown
It looked like it would be a good game 1st half but Peebles came out 2nd half and Tyler Grey,Stone Crothers, and Josh Chandler showed that they can play with out Trent at his best.
Nice Job 7th grade.

I think you left out a player or 2.

I was just questioning the stats, I was at the game and everyone I talked to said Stone Crothers had a real good game and had more than 8 points, he probably had 8 in the last quarter? Who is keeping the stats?

I have the book and he had 8 pts. He played a very good game. He had 6 pts last week but I would have thought he had more than too. Today he had 2 pts in the 1st Q, 4 pts. in the 3d Q and 2 in the 4th Q. Both our book and our stat sheet confirm this. David Garrison keeps the book and Mike Rayburn and Jason Porter keep the stats.

Re: Peebles v.s. Whiteoak Showdown
I think Matt McAdow had a great game... he had sumthing like 16 pts. and a ton of defensive plays... and thats not to mention that he did that playing only like 4 mins. that game cause he wasn't even allowed to breathe on any W.O. players without getting a foul called on him.
All of the big guys, Crothers, Chandler, and Gray had great second halfs.
Cody Hemming and Cole Demint really came off the bench and were able to step it up when Trent and Matt got into foul trouble early.
I heard some people say they thought Trent had a bad game, but don't quite understand how they can say that. Sure he had some bad plays when he lost control of his dribble a couple times trying to do a little to much...but for the most part he did an excellent job on the defensive end...and he is really an offensive play maker on the other side. Trent is one of the best guards I have seen at making all the players around him look good, rather than just trying to make himself look good
Congrats on your win Peebles and a great game

Good observations 1391 and I agree with all your post. Trent Arey does have that ability to make others around him look better and the big boys are getting a lot better for Peebles. Sounds like McAdow really had a solid game against Whiteoak. I wasn't there and could be wrong but my guess is that Arey had a lot of dribble penetration and was able to get to the paint and force Whiteoak to guard him and he was able to set up others for open shots. He will probably lead the team in assists this year.
Glad to hear that DeMint and Hemming came in and played well. There are many players on this team who don't start, but could on just about any other 8th grade team in the SHL.
