Weather permitting, Gallipolis' 7th and 8th grade teams will host Jackson on the Washington School hardwood this evening.
The 7th grade game is set for 5:30 and the 8th grade battle around 7 p.m.

Jackson teams, 42-11, 40-27
Host Gallipolis won a twinbill from visiting Jackson on the Washington School hardwood Monday evening.
In the opener, GAHS won 42-11 to remain unbeaten in nine games. Jackson dropped to 1-5.
Terance Barnitz and Brian Williams led Gallipolis with 12 points apiece. Wade Martin had seven and Seth Atkins four. Jack Crabtree paced Jackson with four points.
Gallipolis led 10-6, 25-6 and 35-8 at the quartermarks.
In the nightcap, Gallipolis handed the Little Ironmen their first setback of the season, 40-27.
Gallipolis led 11-4 after one period, 22-8 at halftime and 30-14 at the quartermarks. Jackson outscored the Little Blue Devils 13-10 in the final period.
Gallipolis improved to 8-1 on the year. Jackson dropped to 5-1.
Big Jim Clagg led GAHS with 19 points. Nick Clagg added eight and Cody Call five. Seth Landrum and M. McCorkle led Jackson with nine points apiece.
Gallipolis will travel to Logan Thursday for another twinbill, with the 7th grade game starting at 5:30 p.m.

Big Blue 7th Defense was awesome allowing only 8 points in 3 qtrs and 3 pts in the 4th. Offense was typical but missed several scoring opps. If they ever mix it up with the fast break offense and three point shooting they are capable of, they will be unstoppable.

Wish I could see them play. I wish they would let the 7th boys and girls play the same schedule and the 8th grade do the same. I know the kids would like to see each other play.
