lilhornetmom there wasn't a nerve stricken with the mention of the qb spot,Iwas simply stating that we should look at all the kids in the league before we can see who is the best. Also i think it is great that the grove boys stand behind one another,at this age is where it all begins, sounds like these kids figured it out alot sooner than most!I am excited about the season to come, and wish everyone the best of luck. :) :) :) :)

I don't think it's anyone's business as to why a child is held back. People think that a kid who makes all A's shouldn't be held back, but what about the child that is very immature socially? That child may not be ready for college upon graduation and could use an extra year to mature. I don't think sports is a viable reason to hold a child back but I also don't think others should judge a family's decision. Only the parents know why that child was held back and as long as they are satisfied with the reason for doing so, no one else should judge.

BWH, are you at work right now????
Just wondering, Anyway like I said, I had a conversation that this came up in and I was just trying to find the truth. I was hoping that I would get a proper response to this question rather than be blasted about;;;; ITS NOBODYS BUSINESS WHY A CHILD GETS HELD BACK"""
Okay let me say this. if YOU as a parent hold back your kid because of sports you face the action of BALANCE and it usually does not help.
Now if a kid is held back for SOCIAL reasons then that is completely different. It would seem that if a kid plays sports, any sports on any team and makes good grades-- WELL he doesn't sound like a kid that is having trouble with SOCIAL SKILLS!! now does it.
Like I said again. this came up today and i was just asking a question. if this hit a nerve then got on me and get off of LILHORNETMOM about her comment about the QB statement. i am sure that this is more intertaining than her comment....

DISCLAIMER :!!!!!
This post is meant to incite discussion about sports and what is best for the kids. This is a test of the Crank it Up Services. This is only a test.
If this was a real Emergency JACK UP, you would be instructed to post a whimzical response to follow.

Here we go !!!!!! It is football season!!!!!!!!!!!!

just to let you know lilhornetmom is not CG QB's mom. I am and I don't get into the speculation over who's the best QB, RB or anything else. The games will show how good the TEAMS are and nothing else. The games are not won based on one player only. Yes you can have some outstanding athlete on a team but it is still a TEAM. If they won't work together then they willnot win on the field or off. Good Luck to all the teams in the teen ovc this season on all levels!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to change subject, didn't get to see the scrimmage yesterday. I was told both teams looked pretty good. Good luck to all teams this year.

I agree, but i think it almost holds true at a-b levels.Unless you face a team that plays ball control and slows the game to a crawl the outside is the place to be.

I had no idea when I added my post that it would cause such a rucuss. That was not why I did it. I sat and watched the game like everyone else that was there. I wrote what I saw. if I offended anyone I apologize. I had no idea little league was so political.

that's right!!! I just didn't want anyone attacking anyone for their opinions because they thought they might know who the poster was and try to get under their skin. I have learned a long time ago you can't take anything personal especially on here! Thanks for the compliment on the QB lilhornetmom but like I stated earlier every player on the team makes the team especially if there needs to be substitutions.

lol. Your welcome for the compliment on your kid. I think my post got misunderstood somewhere along the way. I was not and am not saying that 1 kid can win games. I was just acknowledging the talent that I seen last night. Like I said earlier I couldn't pick just one kid as the best if I tried, I'm partial, I love 'em all! It was never about 1 kid over the other, truely.
