Thanks for the information. Just curious, who did the other girls from Jackson play with then as far as AAU ball/travel ball goes?

7th & 8th Grade Girls Games between North Adams and Peebles were postponed last night. A makeup date has not been schedule as of yet.

These teams will meet at North Adams on January 7th (This is the game that counts for the league standings)

I'm sure both teams were disappointed in not being able to play on Monday night. Hopefully, a make up date gets set and both teams will still be undefeated going into the Jan. 7 game. That may just set up a little more drama. Both 7th and 8th grade teams for Peebles and North Adams are well coached and have some outstanding players.

What team did the other Jackson girls play for?

The WVThunder and the Southern Ohio Magic were the top two AAU teams in Ohio at 11u last year.

As Bucknut mentioned we did play the entire team last year at Jackson YMCA.

Fill us in on where this loss took place?

Man, someone needs to contact the coaches of these two teams and set this up.

Bevo (great name btw) I'm pretty sure that Holiday Tourney in Jackson was versus a team that has 2 current Jackson starters and some girls from surrounding schools (Vinton County)

I don't follow AAU and don't know who is on what team.....but I'm pretty sure 3 of Jackson's CURRENT starting 5 (all from Jackson) did not play in that tourney...I may be wrong....but another coach from Jackson had his daughter and another Jackson starter on his team.......I do not know of them ever joining together, but I've been wrong many times before. And one of Jackson's top players a 5'8 guard didn't play for either team.

I'd love to see the matchup between Jackson jr high and Peebles.

I do believe both teams would benefit from this matchup. Neither team has seen an exciting game.....or even a game yet.

Best of Luck to the Peebles girls!

Ironman

It doesn,t look like this is possbile. According to the school website Jackson's schedule is full. Maybe next year or high school is an option.

I am sure the coaches would love to pick-up a another quality game next year.

Are all the games league games for Jackson?

Congratulations to the 7th grade North Adams team on the win. Sounds like the recipe of sound defense and rebounding is getting it done. I've heard that message somewhere before, I think.

I've wondered what Eastern has had at that age level as the Peebles girls have never played them anywhere before.

These girls are improving with each week of practice. Everyone is starting to understand their roles. The Lady Devils next game is on January 7th at home against the Peebles Lady Indians. This will be a tough game for the Lady Devils, but I know that they will give it all they have and fight until the end.
