This is also true, but the venue of the game and the magnitude of playing in a college stadium was the atmosphere I was looking at. If we dont want to play at Marshall, then we could look at Morehead, just a thought. I just thought that Marshall was already set up for this and kids play there already....
We can still look at playing somewhere else if this needs addressed further...

Lets keep this local.I would like to pursue marshall, but if that doesn't pan out then lets keep it at one of the local fields.By the way, do you have the contact number for Marshall? If not maybe Dragoncoach can pick up that end of it .

I think you will have to go with a high school field I know Marshall charges the TSYFL a bunch Morehad probably would charge too.. I would look into South Point their new AD is always willing to showcase the youth in the area. Kentucky Christian is having a game there in Oct. so they are willing to let other people use the field. His name is Randy Smith.

If we could get some of the local boys to call up their ol bud coach Snyder we may be able to get in with little or no charge at all! We've had several places step up that would be willing to host this event, but we were trying to put the kids in a place where they most likely won't have the oppurtunity to play as young adults.

South Point woul dbe nice to.. easy to get to and centralized for all of us... That sounds like a great opportunity, I wonder if the AD would host a day. We shoud get a trophy for the champions and runner ups.. Nice tri-state trophy with all three states on it or something like that. T-shirts would be nice to for all the players.. Along with t-shirts for the parents to buy.
This should be advertised for all the area to come see. This would be a gate and concessions for possibly 500-100 people if this is advertised the right way. If you think of all the teams in the area and the high schools and the Junior football leagues
we could advertise to... This could be really big.

We could go one step further with an All-star game on a Saturday too. The following weekend. Ohio - RED vs Kentucky- BLUE. Both wear white pants or their home pants and helmet.. 1 week of practice and then play:
DEFENSE- No blitzing.
Offense- Must huddle before every play.

Lets keep it going

IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU ALL ARE PUTTING ALOT OF TIME AND EFFORT INTO THIS AND IT ALL SOUNDS GOOD. BUT IF YOU HAVE AN ALLSTAR GAME WHY NO BLITZING FOR THE DEFENCE AND OFFENCE MUST HUDDLE?......JUST CURIOUS???

1 week to learn an offense and learn to block with kids you dont know.... if a defense blitzed every down you would never get anywhere.. Blitzing would be an easy way to win..

That why in high school all-star games there are rules against certain such things.
In HS all-star games it even states what offense you can run and what defense you can run.
This rule gives the offense the ability to pick up their blocks.. Now the NO BLITZES mean you have to be either already on the line of scrimmage as a lineman or back in the backer position. The offense must huddle which gives the defense the ability for changes to be made...This is a fair exchange of rules if you ask me.

Offense must huddle
Defense can not blitz.
I would stay at these 2 rules so we dont pick apart the entire game.. This allows any offense you wish to run and any defense you wish to run...

Only 2 rules, No blitzing and offesne must huddle.

For the tri-state championship, anything offenseor defense....i'm not sure that an all-star game could be pulled together, due to the fact that b-ball will be starting as soon as we(teen o.v.c.) play the superbowl.....I know that russell will want to get that start early as possible too,so we can keep those last minute nail biters going for another year!!!!!!! :122245

Also how would the coach of this team be chosen? The winning coach of the river bowl and how would the teams be picked. Just asking cuz thats a job I wouldnt want too many good kids would have to be left out. Anyway this is all very good for the kids of the tri state area.

Russell runs a no-huddle offense, we dont show it much but we do run it..... We did not run it Saturday but we did run it last Tuesday against Boyd. It depends on what we are workingon to be honest....Saturdays loss was not a result of the plays or formations,, Thats all I have to say....
