Veteran Gallipolis 7th grade basketball Tom Hopkins greeted 10 prospects during Monday night's organizational meeting at the Gallipolis Developmental Center auditorium.
After explaining rules and regulations for the 7th graders, Hopkins passed out the 2007-08 schedule, and announced the first practice is scheduled at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the GA Junior High cafeteria/gym.
Additional prospects are expected to report for drills later this week.
The seventh graders open regular season play on Nov. 26, at Logan.

Hoppy had 16 report for drills tonight. Hoppy said he called the paper a few days ago about Monday's organizational meeting, but it still hasn't been published. Maybe he will wind up with 19 or 20. That's what they've been averaging at the level.

If the count stays around 16, I doubt if he'll cut. There have been times he's had 23 or 24 kids. He had to cut then.

Ralphie, If you are going to post here at least get your facts straight. Wiseman opted to play other sports, Lewis is ineligible, and Craft quit. TELL IT LIKE IT IS!!!!!!!!!!!OR DON"T POST
