I know it's early but I have seen some great players in jr. high softball. So far we only played 3 teams so don't anyone get upset on my top 5. I'm sure it will change.

1. Welch-Valley (West)
2. Tackett (Clay pitcher)
3. Fisher(East)
4. Ellifrett (South Webster pitcher)
5. Harr (Valley)

These are not in order. I think they are all good.

I gotta list Clay's main pitcher... her last name is Mader

we have only got 1 game in. I'm sure hoping for a dry out by sunday. ND 7th grade is scheduled to play Ironton and Valley (koch's team) . has Ironton got a game in yet ? MD

VEry true..I just don't know alot of the girls names out in the field..
Whitely for the Burg plays 3rd and pitches plus is a big hitter..she is gonna get one over the fence this year I think..lol
The SS from the burg your talkin about is probably K. Hale that girl has a heck of a glove on her..I've seen her pick some nasty balls hit at her..

The catcher from ND last night has a heck of a arm on her and didn't let hardly anything behind her..

I've still yet only seen the one valley team haven't seen Koch's team yet.

This season has been very exciting to see all this young talent we have in the area...Can't wait to see the rest of the teams play..

i agree about the excitement level . I'm stoked . It's great opportunity to set up the SOC as the premier softball conference in southern ohio. Leagues like this just raise the level of play and participation. We have had a few issues come up but hey , we are a 1st year league. Thanks again to Darrell K at ND for getting the ball rolling.

I've only seen 4 teams play , can't wait to play everyone. MD

I don't judge them on how they throw the ball only. The ones I seen hit the ball well and field the ball great. They run the bases well also.

Kayser is a good player. I know she can run like a deer.She run all over us last year in Little League.I know alot of the Burg's players but they was not at 100% when we played them. I just think there is alot of good players in Jr. high ball and wanted some to share what they see as I can't see many of the games other than mine.I think the Wollard girl(East) hits the ball as hard as I ever seen at this age.Clays catcher is sound behind the plate.ETC.......Still alot of teams I have not seen.

Time to give some props to the power hitters.
From what I've seen so far and these are in no particular order.

Haley Fisher (East)
Kayla Koch (Valley Purple)
Mandy Whitely (Wheelersburg)

These girls can knock the cover off the ball.

There are many great players. Nice to see our area produce so many great players. I like the coaches in our league as well. They all seem to work hard with their girls. Nice to chat with as well.

Got to mention my own Jen Arnzen At ND , 7th grader. Has been hitting great all year and with power. Several doubles,triples this year. Hit one off the fence in practice. MD

I would have to say Braiden Dilliow from Valley is pretty awsome!!!!

Yes, she is ..I only got to see her once when we played them..She is a solid player good all the way around..

All I can say is WOW!!! You go online and talk trash about a Jr. High player...WOW...I've seen Katie play alot in fact watch her play ASA every weekend that kid is a hell of a centerfielder..So maybe she had a bad game when playing East.Did you think of that? It happens sometimes..

One game !!!!!!! I'll tell you this, you can't base a player on one game. If I was to pick a All-Star team out of all the Jr. High teams, The Kayser girl would be on it. She is one of the fastest, smartest baserunner, I have seen in Jr. High Softball. She has a great glove. I wouldn't put her as catcher but only because I think there are better catchers in Jr. High but she does well as catcher and with a little more work she could be a great catcher. Kayser is one of those kids who you could play anywhere and she would give you a solid game.
