Re: Gallipolis 8th blanks Jackson, 22-0
Congratulations Gallia.
I would like to give credit where credit is due....
Very sportsman like for your cheerleaders to give a goodie bag to our cheerleaders during the hello cheer. It is always a game of win or lose but good to teach the kids good sportsmanship.
Back to the game...... Jackson had 3 key players out injured on the sidelines, with no relief quarterback. Our kicker #83 garvey was taken out with a neck injury in the 2nd quarter, Our quarterback #9 Landrum was not quite on his game and had no breaks to get it together. #16 Malone (all 75lbs of him) was all over the field probably had the most tackles. Seemed to me that #59 Carter was the only one playing the line at all, he sure fits the nickname of "Tank" very well, but hard to carry the line when you have no help and I mean no help on the line for that kid. Excellent interception by #88 McNelly and also McCorkle (forget his number, sorry) excellent interception. So all in all these 4 kids couldnt handle a team of 11 (Yes Gallia you played well as a team) Hopefully 2 of the 4 injured will be back to play next week ready to play against Vinton County!
Good luck gallia on the rest of your season.

Good game for both teams. It was nice to see some of our friends from Jackson. Let us know how the player that was injuried during the game is. We hope that all it well with him and his family.

I hope that all #83 Garvey did was jam his neck....he was talking and was able to move his fingers and toes but as of last night he still could not move his neck.......no Doctors report yet.
