Waverly @ Wheelersburg Monday the 8th, any thoughts on the 7th and 8th grade contests.

Rumor has it waverly 8th grade is vastly improved over last year

From watching the game last night I would say yes they have improved, after bringing help (Center) for burgs press it was pretty much basket for basket for much of the game. It was a very physical game and waverly was a little rattled to begin with, burg got up on them early and the refs were letting them play physical (maybe a little to physical) but if the refs let you get away with it thats what you do. For a team who actually shoot the ball well waverly could hit nothing especially from the line and they were on it a lot. It stayed around a 10 point game up until close to the end of the 3rd.when burg opened it up to about 15. game ended at I believe 46-26, tough test for the tigers out of the gate but if they trust in what they are being taught they will have a solid season.
