Final was Burg 35...Oak Hill 30. Pathetically called game overall. I don't want to be one of those people who jumps on here and blames the refs. Check my post history and you'll see I don't do that. And honestly, Burg couldn't sink a bunny shot for anything so they hurt themselves as far as that goes.

BUT.....

These particular refs acted like they had never seen a more aggressive style of play. When I say aggressive, I don't mean shoving and pushing. I mean plain ol' gun n' go type of play. Fouls were 9 on Burg and 2 on OH at one point in the first half. With two minutes left in play in the second half, OH had five (yeah....5) fouls to give just to get Burg to the line for 1 and 1. There was another foul called after an OH player was dribbling down the sidelines, cut to the middle, tripped over his own feet with no Burg players anywhere near him and a tripping foul was called on a Burg some ways away. Terrible. And do the refs not know what a jump stop is? Have they never seen it before?! THAT'S NOT TRAVELING PEOPLE!!! :)

Anyway...it was rough one causing Burg to change up their game plan but that's how you learn to play better too. Adjusting your game as you go.

Thanks for the update, I had heard the refs were bad that game, but also sounds like the boys need to work on there shooting and intensity during the game..

Oak Hill was to play at Burg tonight but the game was canceled. Not sure why. Burg was out of school for the 'holiday' anyway and no bad weather. Oh well....not sure if it will be made up. Burg's game at West has been rescheduled for Mon. Feb. 2nd.
