Any one have brackets or dates and times yet? In the 6th grade bracket, Fairland #1 plays Rock Hill at 6:15 Monday. What teams are in the tournament?

Ashland was trying to get in the tournament, and was told about a week or so they were in. However last night was told we were not in, not really sure of the reason. During the past week there have been comments that Ashland was an AAU team, and I would like to clear that up. Some of the girls do play AAU or summer ball on a couple of different teams, just like alot of the other school teams, that have girls play AAU or summer ball in the area. These girls are all 6th graders, no holdbacks in the Ashland School System and play in the Ashland youth basketball league. I would hope that this rumor or comments would not effect tournament directors decisions into letting these girls praticipate in their tournament. Wish all teams good luck in the South Point Tournament.

Thats a shame because the Ashland team is a really good team and the girls play tough. IMO ( whether it matters or not) having good competition makes everyone play their best. I hope they do get to play, even though they spanked our Fairland #1 team Sunday. Is Ashland a bigger school than most of the Ohio Schools in Lawrence Co?
Congrats on winning the Fairland Tournament!

If all of these girls attend the same school then I dont see the problem, However Ashland is a big city around here and if it is a hand picked team within Ashland then the AAU tourneys is what they need to play in. Most of these local tourneys are mainly for school teams .If I took some girls from the Portsmouth area but not just enrolled in the Portsmouth city schools then I would be hard to beat also.
