Coal Grove Youth Basketball will be having sign ups on Thursday Oct. 22nd 2009 between the hours of 5:00pm-7:00pm at Deering Elementary. This is for any boy or girl in grades K-6th grade. We will be having our final sign up session on Tuesday Oct. 27th 2009 between 5:00pm-7:00pm at Deering Elementary.

WHEN WILL THERE BE OPEN GYM?

The gym floor is being refinished this week. We will not be able to get on the floor until around November 2nd. So we will not have any open gyms. We will contact you when we can have our Draft.

We will be having our Draft on Thursday November 5th at Deering School.

3rd&4th Grade Girls: 5:30pm
3rd&4th Grade Boys: 6:00pm
5th&6th Grade Boys: 6:30pm


All coaches need to be at the School at 5:00pm for a coaches meeting....

I know for a fact that the teams this year was picked just like they have been every year. All the coaches get together and pick their own teams from a pool with all the girls. Everyone has a fair chance at all the girls. Teams are not stacked. If you are a coach you picked your team no one picked it for you. Yes numbers are down this year espically in Ateam girls. B team # are not down that much if any there are 4 teams all teams no no less then 9 players on a team some teams have more so thats roughly 36 -40 girls palying Bteam girls ball this year. If you ask me thats not a bad # at all.

If you are a coach i hope you are not telling your kids this junk or even your parents because if you r its crap.

Bounce the numbers are not down by no means on B-team girls this year 38 or 39 girls is no where being down as you say. If you have a problem with it yourself then you need to adress the board or give me a call sometimes pm me i will give you my #. The draft was done the same way as it was done last year the 2 teams you say that are stacked the other 2 teams had same opportunity to pick the girls that are on those teams with exceptions of the coaches daughters if they were to put them back in the draft i would say divorce would come into play. It was same way last year with me having one of the weeker teams thats when a coach has to step and do their jobs and work with the kids that much harder. My team last year started off getting blowed out but before seaon was out we was competing every game. Only won 1 game all year but never herd me complain or my other coach we just excepted what we had and went with it. Was the same wasy on the B-team boys last season never won a game but had fun and taught the boys everything I could about the game.That draft went the same way that the girls did.

Rock Hill Only has 2..... 3-4 grade teams,l would be interested in playing some different teams.

3-4 grade girls teams, If so pm me and we might be able to set something up.

We also have (4) 5th/6th grade teams and I'm looking for some teams who would like to scrimmage on Tuesday nights at RH or we will go there. Just PM if interested.
