I know absolutely nothing about the Jeeps. Any word on their season?

Make-up Game? As for the results I'd give SW the edge, although that little gym could be a equalizer.

Not a make up, it's on the schedule 2 Wednesdays in a row.

I think the Clay 8th grade has gotten stronger and faster. I think Webster will have a hard time staying up with them. I have saw this team week after week getting better and better. They mesh well. They look for the open person for the shots. Their press is working great. I know it will be a good game to watch and I think they will pull out another win. I know one kid off the 8th grade team and he is a very strong kid, can't remember his name (he looks like he could drive to the game). I saw him play last year and he is very strong and very physical.

The 7th grade boys played Webster twice in tournments last year. Clay beat them once and met up with them at the Green tourn. and lost to them to settle for 2nd in the tourn. Webster pulled out the win by about 2 points. I know some of the boys from the Webster team Alex and Keith. Keith is a real scrapper and is very physical. That boy drove the ball in at will. Alex can post up and take and put you on the floor before you know what has happened. I have heard a rumor that they lost their point guard Brandon to Wheelersburg. If he is still at Webster that kid can control the ball well but we have (hopefully) our little scrapper Phipps to work on him. The Clay 7th grade has improved alot and working well together if all the starters are there.

My predication for the games, Clay teams come out with a win!!!

GO PANTHERS!!!

Sounds great! I am so proud of these boys! They are feeding off of each other, and sharing so well. Very excited about their future.

If the clay 7th grade is expecting a team similar to that of the SW 6th grade team last year, I think they will be surprised. This game also has big south webster tournament seeding implications on it. If Clay can win, they can move higher than the 7 seed, but without this soc 2 win I look for them to be the 7 and face either Burg,Minford, or West.

the 7th grade can play with them but have to take care of the ball.s.w. is a good team and fast too but i heard they lost 2 of there best players if that is true clay will win because they have improved a bunch. the 8th grade knows s.w. from last year and they remember. i think they come out for of the gate strong and never look back. good luck to both teams. PLAY HARD NEVER GIVE UP

I'm not saying Clay can't win, I'm just saying this 7th grade team is better than they were as 6th graders last year. This team was in the game for 4 quarters vs. Burg. They are the surprise of the SOC II in a lot of people's eyes, they are in every game.

Going to miss both games this week, church tonight, and work Thursday. The Panthers know that their style of play is loved by all of Clay nation! Should be a sellout in the little old gem on Maple Benner rd. Is the Phipps kid back from his injury?

You guys that saw the Western game, I would like to know if it would've been different with Phipps there, or not.
Our 8th grade lost to Webster last year at SW. What differences are there from then to now?

Jake, I do believe Phipps would have made a HUGE difference in the outcome of the Western game. Hurt had to move to point guard and he was about the only one that could break the press. It took the first half for the 5 to start meshing together. In the first half the 7th graders only scored 9 points!!! In the third qtr Clay scored (I believe) 9 points and held the Western team to about 3-4 points. In the 4th qtr Clay scored (I believe) 15 points and held Western to 2 points!! The kid to watch right now is Chance (not sure of the last name). He came alive in the last game blocked alot of shots and was not afraid to get his 6 foot frame on the floor for the ball. If he plays like he did at Western and with Phipps, Hurt, Phillips, and Benner in there CLAY WILL BE HARD TO BEAT!!!

Sorry your going to miss the game tonight because you are going to miss a good one!!

WAY TO GO CLAY!!! Both teams pulled off wins. I think the 7th grade won by about 4 points. Phipps, Smith, and Riffe were all out for this game. Phipps and Smith probably will not play in tomorrow game due to illness. Heard that Riffe was still gone due to a family emergency.

The 8th grade won by around maybe 12 (or more). Both games very physical.

Ready to go to Eastern tomorrow!!!

:-D

I think this gives clay a legitimate claim at the 5 maybe even 4 seed in the post season tournament at sw.

Don't tell on me, I'm still at work but I couldn't stand it any longer. Congrats to Clay, but what's wrong with Phipps and Smith?

I don't think we should put the cart before the horse Jim Mora, but if Clay's 7th grade would only have 1-2 losses going into the tournament, I think they should get a better seed than 4 or 5.

didnt get to watch game but heard 7th game was sloppy with lots of turnovers. but a win is a win! the phipps kid was sick sounds like they needed a point guard. good job boys keep working hard. heard the 8th grade was in foul trouble all night. the kid from south webster #4 could not be stoped scored at will until he was hurt. hope he is ok. when he went out clay pulled ahead. good job boys its a good win for you. good luck at eastern. dont lay down they wont let you beat them no team will you have to play hard the whole game! GO BLUE & GOLD...........

ANOTHER WIN FOR CLAY TONIGHT!!! Both 7th and 8th grade won against Eastern. The 7th grade score was 34-22. The 8th grade score was 48-28 (I think). Way to go!!! 8th grade played very well tonight. Schimdt and Haffer worked the boards and Haffer was flying high!! Shaffer had an excellent night and was driving the ball and had several rebounds on the night. Evans made 1 or 2-3 point shots. They looked good.
The 7th grade had a very sloppy game and seemed very sluggish. Jake, Phipps was back and scored 5 points on the night. It was good to see the two big guys Hines and Chance in there working under the boards. Hurt seemed a little slow on the night but scored around 12-14 points. I think the 7th grade had a hard time dealing with two nights in a row games. Hope they figure out how to get over this. I believe next week the 7th grade has 3 games!!!
