Is SP in the Southern Ohio League? Rock Hill is playing in the league but would still play other games. If we are not on your schedule let me know and I'll see if I can get a game set up.

Portsmouth (3-0) won 3-2 against Minford in a game that was called in the bottom of the 6th inning due to lightning. Pitching duel that was an excellent game to watch between two very good teams.

It was a great game to watch. Both teams played a great game. My question is if the game is stopped d/t weather before the inning ends doesn't it revert back to the previous full inning played? At the end of the 5th inning it was 2-2. So wouldn't that be a tie?

Just going off the explanation of the umpire. He said both teams had the same number of at-bats (6) and the hour and a half time limit rule for Junior High had also come into play.

I guess in retrospect the league should have been divided into A and B groups , just ask the coaches at the coaches meeting --if you have experienced players and solid pitching go A , the rest form pool B . NO ONE GETS ANY GOOD FROM LOSING A DH BY A COMBINED 33-0 SCORE. MD
