What???? It was a physical game played by two good teams, with two experienced referees who have NO ties to Clay. I for one would rather they let them play than be ticky tack, and I take offense to the clayerized statement. Grow up, we have all had to deal with getting beat. So did the referees cheat at Eastern too?GOINDIANS wrote:The girls game and seventh grade boys game were both competitive and won legitimtely by clay. The eighth grade game was a total travesty. In the stands we were taking bets as to what year the older ref graduated from clay. My guess was 1948. It is fitting that in the last game in that gym the away team would get totally screwed. Hopefully in the new gym the road team will quit being clayerized. But i doubt it.
Yes please your kids beat us at your place fair and square admitally the refs wasn't exactly good at your guys' place either but were not wineing about it. Come on take the loss. It was a great game but western had a chance to tie it up they shot a half court shot with 13 or so secounds left on the clock and clay got the ball and ended after that. If you really wanted to tie it up you couldve gave it to shanks for a quick lay up but it was a nerve mistake I'm sure that boy feels terrible about it but do not blame it on the officals that is the cheapest cop out I've ever seen yes there was some bad calls for both sides I thought it was called pretty fair there was some quesionable calls but nothing to cost them the game. You guys always have an excuse for losing last year it was because Shanks wasn't there or well hurt anyways this year is because of the officals last years excuse was ok but come on the officals please our boys just had an extemely good night they did have alot of turnovers though but other wise they played great espically when you have a player with 26 points if you really wanted to stop em then all you had to do was stop his drive he didn't make one jump shot I would say 8 feet away from the basket or even less it was all off of drives to the basket.GOINDIANS wrote:The girls game and seventh grade boys game were both competitive and won legitimtely by clay. Hey winer!! Would you like some cheese?? Any other excuse you want to use?? Officals lost the game for ya?? Really?? Look at the total amount of fouls. Pretty even don't ya think?? If you wanted them to call everything then the game would have lasted until midnight. I saw missed calls on both sides of the court. Let me guess the next excuse is that someone was hurt, sick, wasn't there. Grow up!! They lost!! By the way the older ref has NEVER called at Clay. What's next the boy who throw the ball up at half court with 7 seconds to go was tripped by the lines on the floor? Blame the loss on everything and everybody else but the Western team. They played tuff and strong and you wineing on here is taking away from a GREAT played game by both teams. If you want to call what happened to Western as Clayerized then come back next year and they will do it again!!!GOINDIANS wrote:The girls game and seventh grade boys game were both competitive and won legitimtely by clay. Amen well said.thecinderellapick wrote:from what i heard BOTH teams played excellant. you win some, you lose some. when you split the season, both teams with a win, NO ONE should have anything to whine about. to me that means BOTH teams are just as good. theres no point blaming refs, sickness or injurys. just come back next year and win BOTH games.
Oh well, good luck in your tournament GOINDIANSGOINDIANS wrote:Let me guess it was AT notre dame.
