Waverly has good size and some kids that play really physical in the 7th grade...just need to continue working on our ball-handling.

I saw that group last season..good size...not many fundamentals...I liked the Portsmouth 7th grade group but heard that one of their top players transferred...Jackson was good, but part of what made their team go was the girl point guard...she is now on the girls team I would assume..

Wheelersburg will have a nice squad this year in 7th and 8th grade. The 8th grade class won the county tournament as 7th graders. Minford and portsmouth also has a nice class of 8th graders should be some great competition!

Yes he did come to da burg! He is pretty good. He should be moved up to the 8th grade team that is the weakest link on the 8th grade team guard play has hurt that class in the past!

Piketon should have a good 8th grade team...I think they only lost 1 game last year. The Moore kid is the one to watch.

7th grade group is pretty good, went back & forth against the solid 7th grade Meigs team that's out there.

Those were some good games. Sad thing this year though is that we only have 8 kids that came out to play, yes they are the same players, but if there is any injuries, we could be in trouble. If any of the starting 5 get in foul trouble we also might be hurting. Good luck to Miller this coming season, you all showed a lot of class when we played you all every time.

Two of their starters are no longer with the team.
One of them transferred to Wheelersburg.
One of them is now a Kentucky Trojan.

The Kentucky Trojan is playing on both the 7th and 8th grade basketball teams at Conkwright Middle in Winchester, KY this season.
Daddy doesn't coach basketball. He coaches football. He played college football at Army and college baseball at Cincinnati.
Grandpa played basketball and baseball at Ohio University. Grandpa guarded Jerry Lucas in high school (Middletown) and Jerry West in College (West Virginia). Both belong to the top 50 NBA all-time best players list.
