Hitting question/advice

I have a player in girls machine pitch that is a very good hitter, very rarely swings and misses. All of sudden she is swinging and missing pitches that she used to drive. Most swings seem to be under the ball and when contact is made she is fouling pitches straight back or a foul tip. She is very frustrated and has began to lose confidence in herself.Any advice would be appreciated...thanks.

sounds like she might be dropping her back shoulder as shes swinging. noway to tell unless seeing her swing. take her to a backstop or netting and soft toss to her a bucket of balls or put her back on the t for 15-20 min during practice. Might sound stupid but it helps!!!

Thanks....I have another girl that steps towards/on the plate.....any advice?

Try making any slight change in her approach such as stagger her feet or or change where her hands are starting in the zone! Its usually a mental thing and most times a coach showing he/she can fix it is enough to gain the confidence back in her swing!
