Jr High Previews

Jr High Previews for boys and girls are being held this coming Tuesday. Might be good to see some up and coming talent. Who will stand out this year at the 7th and 8th grade level?

Where are you? To my knowledge, they do not have Jr High Previews in Scioto County.Ohio_Ball_Fan02 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 1:34 pm Jr High Previews for boys and girls are being held this coming Tuesday. I have the 8th grade Jeeps winning the tourney this year. Last years team was obviously good, but I think they have improved a lot. Great Guards, size is there, and this team is gonna be a lot of fun to watch. Games to look out for.Crazykid33 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 6:45 pm To me I really think South Webster Jr. High is going to have a good season they have a really talented roster lead by 6'5" number 32 Easton Large. The rest of the talented team has worked hard this summer and have improved and are ready to kickoff the season. The team has a lot of good talent and good coaches and I expect great things from them
But don’t be surprised if the young Jeeps drop 3 to 4 gamesSWBASKETBALL wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 8:35 pmI have the 8th grade Jeeps winning the tourney this year. Wheelersburg
Portsmouth
Those are my main concerns for the Jeeps, but I think they will be fine come tournament time. Good luck to Jeeps this season.
Like I said this summer the Jr. High jeeps worked hard, and I think they are ready for this season. Portsmouth though will be the hardest game for them this season, but i think if they play their game they can win. The team has great chemistry and in the end I think that will be what helps them this season.SWBASKETBALL wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 8:41 pmBut don’t be surprised if the young Jeeps drop 3 to 4 gamesSWBASKETBALL wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 8:35 pmI have the 8th grade Jeeps winning the tourney this year. I agree and I believe that Coach Grant has coached his team well and I think that they can beat Portsmouth and Wheelersburg if they play hard. Last year the team kept the games against burg close and I expect to see them best burg this yearSWBASKETBALL wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 8:18 am The Jeeps will be a solid team. However, like I said they still play Portsmouth, Wheelersburg, Jackson, Minford. All of these could give the Jeeps a run. It’ll be interesting to see how things shape out, but I still think the Jeeps once they end the season and find out what needs to improve they will be fine come tournament time. 1st year as head coach, Brandon Grant, let’s see what he can do with this talented 8th grade team's
Beating Portsmouth is gonna take a lot, but it is still manageable. Berry and Green are 2 of the best kids I have seen in the area. If Large is physical with Berry down low (which Large will be fine due to his height and size) and Green doesn’t get hot on shots, then the Jeeps will be fine. Green likes to shoot any chance he gets and I would expect Berry to shoot outside as well but more inside due to his size. The Jeeps will have to come ready to play, but I will be in attendance of this game, so I’m hoping for a good one. My questions about the 8th grade will be answered once I see them play the teams I think will give them a run.Crazykid33 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 11:15 amI agree and I believe that Coach Grant has coached his team well and I think that they can beat Portsmouth and Wheelersburg if they play hard. This game will be played in the South Webster Jr. High gym so it will be a packed house. This could benefit or hurt either team. Both teams though will come out physical and this will be one of the best Jr. High games of the season.SWBASKETBALL wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 11:53 amBeating Portsmouth is gonna take a lot, but it is still manageable. I disagree with this prediction, I think that the Jeeps are going to take this game, but it will be their biggest test of the season, and I will also be at this game.SWBASKETBALL wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 1:24 pmPortsmouth 47 Webster 39Crazykid33 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 12:05 pmThis game will be played in the South Webster Jr. High gym so it will be a packed house. My prediction. I will be in attendance like I said so maybe Webster can prove me wrong but this is how I see it, but I also think this will be their only loss of the season.
Same hopefully my prediction is right.
