Re: Pawn Stars
Yeah, I agree with you on Big Hoss.
I like Rick but his laugh is becoming a bit annoying. He laughs at everything.
I really like The Old Man. He reminds me of my grandfather.
Yes, Chumlee is the man!

Chumlee is a lot smarter than he lets on. Did you see the episode where they get the pinball machine fixed and the guy opens the machine up and Chumlee is like hey thats a new some technical term he uses and Big Hoss is like what did you say. Chumlee repeats himself then explains what it is. I like this show a lot though.

Re: Pawn Stars
Both shows are great. Some of the stuff that people bring in on Pawn Stars is really cool and some of the junk that the Pickers get is pretty cool too. It's amazing what they sell some of that stuff for. Pickers did a show just recently where they were up around Circleville and they stopped at this guys house who had a complete White Castle in his side yard. Anyone see that one? I would love to find out where that is and drive by it.

Maybe this is it. Anyone on here near Orient, OH.
Green's Heritage Museum
10530 Thrailkill Rd.
Orient, OH 43146
Local Phone: (614) 877-4254
What will impress a person the most about Green's Heritage Museum is the extent to which the proprietor, William Green, has gone to collect the variety of buildings and pieces found here. An assortment of collectibles from toy trains, to model tractors, to a collection of bikes, visitors will be amazed by the variety and number of items the Green's have acquired through their life. And, probably the highlight of a visit is admiring the 50 some pieces of antique horse drawn carriages including an Abbott & Downing Mud Coach. From a 1799 Smoke House to the 1930s White Castle Restaurant, all of the 14 buildings represent a unique part of central Ohio's history.

Re: Pawn Stars
This week, Rick got burned on a Austin Healy Sprite. Why anyone would want a Sprite other than a Bug Eye Sprite, is beyond me. But it was a good looking vehicle but looked much like a MG Midget.
There is a small car that looks like a Sprite or Midget sitting across from Lil' Caesars or was a day or so back.

Re: Pawn Stars
I watched one a couple of weeks ago where the heavyset guy got burned on a 1937 Plymouth I think it was that he paid $5000 for. It was in a guys basement and they had to haul it all the way back on a flatbed which I'm sure wasn't cheap and it ended up only being worth about $3500 and the restorer guy said it wouldn't be worth much more than he had paid even if they restored it.

That is a different show. It is "American Pickers". I saw that episode too. The heavier guy is Frank.

Just watched that full episode on line. He paid $5500 for it but.......................he got the key AND a '66 Playboy with it.
I liked the episode where the old guy had lots of Crosley's in all types.

Re: Pawn Stars
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------first off , he ain't heavyset. we are , i mean he is vertically challenged. i love pickers and pawn stars , and all the logger shows. yes, sometimes they get burnt. but i saw them pick up so much stuff n sell it before they leave the area, it's hard to see them losing their butts at it. i just saw one yesterday, where the woman lived in a factory, and in the 5th floor along spent 295.00, and made like 3,000 of it. i love to see how that guy restores coke machines , and cars n such. he is amazing, and rick has an expert for everything, even a wooden leg, the other day.Burg_Grad_77 wrote:I watched one a couple of weeks ago where the heavyset guy got burned on a 1937 Plymouth I think it was that he paid $5000 for. Re: Pawn Stars
The factory episode was American Pickers.
The guy who restores items like Coke machines is on Pawn Stars.
I would love to go picking like those guys do on the show but I would have a major allergy attack at most of those places.
At one place this guy had dug underground rooms and they were full of stuff.
I was amazed and wondered how long it took him to dig them and what did he do with all the dirt?

Re: Pawn Stars
There was another interesting episode of Pawn Stars on last night.
Someone brought in an old stamp that was added to one side of a token.
The history behind the stamp was interesting.
You not only get some entertainment with this show but history lessons as well.
