Prayers for former Trojan Avery Smith and his family "Philly

Avery passed away early this morning. He graduated from Portsmouth in 2003 and was a dominate force on the Trojan offensive line that led them to a 11-2 season. He was a great person and teammate. He had a true passion for Trojan football. Please pray for his family especially his mom as she was at every practice and game and loved her son Aveman. Thanks for the great memories Avery and always protecting me for extra points. I'll miss you friend but I know you're in a better place. #65

As someone who had the great pleasure of playing with Avery, I would like to extend my deepest condolences to his family.

From one hog to another I would like for everyone to know what a great guy he was. I will always remember all the tough practices we suffered through together, and all the fun we had in the locker room, and after games. RIP #65

Philly if you read this know how highly myself and the Trojan community think of your son. He will be forever missed. The prayers of myself and my family are with you and yours.

We have lost another fine young man of the Trojan family. My condolences go out to the family and friends.

To all my Trojan family. Avery died of what we believe to be a Heart Attack. This is so unreal to us. He was our sunshine. Always good for a laugh, or to talk about all the good ole football days! He felt very privileged to have played with such a great bunch of guys. He loved his coaches, and all the parents who sat day after day to watch practice and every Friday night to root on his team to victory!!

Some friends are getting together for a little memorial, at the stadium at 9:00 tonight. All welcomed to come.

Thank you all for your thoughts, and prayers...please keep us in you thoughts as we try to get through these next few days.

so sorry for your loss,I diddn't know about this untill my neighbor told me, his son played for the Trojans a year behind Avery,and works with you ar wal mart.



I did not know Avery, but have always heard great things about him.
