Thurmans Cafe...

Post by bigtimehitter »

In C-Bus, anyone been? Just got bk from there today and had their famous Thurman-ator. And wow, it was crazy. It has two 12 oz burgers, loaded with American and provolne cheese, am, sauteed mushrooms and onions, pickles, bannana peppers, lttuce, tomato, big thick slabs of bacon and mayo. Oh yea, and a heaping pile of home cut fries. Great food! Thurmans was on the Travel Channel's Man vs. Food just this past wednesday.
All in all I would say the burger weighed in a total of at least 3 lbs and stood at least 9 inches tall off the plate. I have pictures of before and after if I can figure out how to post them.

Have you tried either of the other two places featured on that episode.

If you enjoy German food, go to Schmidt's. It's a staple!

Thurmans is great! The 'regular' Thurman Burger with only one huge patty is what I usually get- but it has ham instead of bacon....but does have all the veggies/shrooms,etc....I try to go here about once a year.. try to go at odd hours on the weekend...Crazy busy during lunch and dinner normal hours since being on tv.

Schmidt's is also great- can't go wrong with the buffet----you get to try a little (or a lot!) of everything..and it's only about $10.

I went to the Ohio Deli last week for the 1st time...got the 'DAGWOOD' sandwich-- it is about a pound of each -ham,turkey and roast beef with mayo,lettuce,tomato,pickle,mayo...and thick bread (stands about 8 inches high)....I didn't do the challenge which is with a pound of fries --BUT did my own 1/2 challenge...ate half of the sandwich and 1/2 lb of fries in 15 minutes and was stuffed...oh and split saurkraut balls with the other 2 guys with me...took the other half home to the other half!
