Don't know why someone would give up being the pope. I am sure it is awesome responsibility but imagine the secrets of the Catholic Church that you become privy to when you are elected to this position.
My guess is that the next pope will be from Italy, Cardinal Angelo Scola.

Who knows what the new Pope could bring? I believe some big things are getting ready to go down in the world. I keep looking at Obama, a man who should've been defeated over and over and over again but miraculously continues to persevere. I am beginning to think more by the day that the man is the antichrist. No birdgrad I did not say he was, I said I am beginning to think he may be.
Anyway, it will be interesting to see how the new Pope deals with The world's Catholics. Will he take a stand and smack down some unruly priest and nuns who are trying to lead the members away from plain Biblical truths, or, in an effort to preserve membership, will he compromise? I see this man could probably be one of the if not the most important Popes in the Catholic church. They're coming to a fork in the road or rather, they are already in the fork of the road. Which direction will he take? Either way, it will bring big changes
