Re: RIP BOO BIG ORANGE ONE
I got to spend a good bit of quality time with Boo this summer while he's been sick. I wanted people to know that Boo had made his peace with God and I believe that he's in heaven. A few weeks ago, we sat under his carport and looking out on the field out there he told me how he would love to see his father again and perhaps if they allow fishing in heaven, they'd get to wet a line together. I'm pretty sure he was thinking about taking some of his gear with him just the same.
I'm going miss him, he was a heck of a fine fellow, funniest wittiest guy I believe I ever met. I'll never forget the look the young clerk gave us at Dick's in Cincinnati a few years ago when he told the boy the reason he was buying so much fishing gear that day was because he'd just gotten out of prison. He sold it too, you could tell the boy was mystified at what to say back. Then, there's the time in my truck I went into a long explanation of how I'd play Pandora on my phone..then, hook a cable from my phone to my radio..he finally looked at me and said, 'why don't you just turn on the radio and listen to it?'

Re: RIP BOO BIG ORANGE ONE
that warms my heart to hear that tuck about boo bein a Christian, I talked with him about it at times, but he is so dang hard to read at times. I went to Lancaster with him me, ironmike, and boo to watch Lucasville, and I think Centerville play. it was a laugh a minute. and dang it was cold. I talked to his wife yesterday for a good bit, we had a great conversation. I still have the big mouth billy bass he gave me for my kids to play with.my grand daughter loves it.the first time I met boo, was at an ole broken down tiger fans luncheon, here he came in with shorts n flip flops and a toe ring. I said I gotta meet this guy.his wife terri told me yesterday ron loved to debate, I said terri, he was a master debator, we both hadda great laugh. rons wife is such a dear lady. what tuck said he said to the young'un when he was buyin fishin stuff, I can totally hear him saying that. i'll never forget when we got tossed from the Jackson ponderosa in our seop lunch, because of a misunderstanding, lol.
THAT WAS A FIRST FOR ME.-------------AND NEXT DOOR THEY WERE HAVING A MEETING OF ALL THE JACKSON DIGNITARIES IN A GUEST ROOM, LOL
SO AS WE WERE BEING ESCORTED OUT, WE PASSED ALL OF THEM.

Re: RIP BOO BIG ORANGE ONE
He was hands down one of the most unique individuals I've ever met. One minute I'd be ready to choke him, and the next minute he'd be giving me fatherly advice. In the same day once, he praised me and spoke highly of my family during a private conversation, then busted my chops via one of his infamous alter-egos just so I wouldn't get "too full of myself" as he later told me lol. I regret that I didn't check on him more down the stretch, but I'll always remember the way I've never known another who could get under someone's skin so easily in all my life.....and yet he'd get the biggest laugh out of it. I hope people realize though, that I don't think he ever really intended harm. He was simply being himself and finding a good debate even if he had to create one himself
RIP Ron
