Sports radio or Country music radio?

Post by rickoshay »

ESPN Radio in SE Ohio has switched their format to country music, temporarily I hope.
What would you rather listen to? BTW, I'm no country music fan.

Country is awesome, so is classic rock.
If my car radio is on, it is usually set to 97.1 The Fan. (Sports talk)

Upstate South Carolina has the usual ESPN, CBS and Fox Sports outlets, but they are owned by nationals like Entercom and Salem. Both are becoming difficult to listen to because of feeble efforts to fill air time. I wish they would switch to any music format until games return.

On a side note there are two local sports talk stations that are not network affiliated. One in Spartanburg has done a bang up job of interviewing local high school and small college coaches and athletes. They have also aired classic games from the past. The other station specializes in Clemson athletics. I know OSU fans are supposed to hate all things Clemson, but this station has put together interesting chronicles of great Tiger seasons including interviews. Beats listening to Dan LeBatard or Colin Cowherd babble about nothing.
