The all-new American Gladiators

Post by NYBuckeye96 »

What does everyone think of the all-new American Gladiators? I LOVE IT!!!!!

Hellga scares the bejesus out of me!

I think it has shown a little more attitude than the old version did! The new eliminator looks like its really tough considering how much trouble contestants have had on it!

‘American Gladiators’ Shows Ratings Muscle
NBC’s revamp of the campy competition classic “American Gladiators” scored the highest new series premiere rating of the season.

“Gladiators” earned a 5.9 preliminary rating among adults 18 to 49 and was seen by 12 million viewers. The demo rating gives "Gladiators" the best score for an NBC debut since “Heroes." Previously, the highest premiere tally this season was held by "Bionic Woman" (5.7), NBC's other action-filled primetime remake.

The two-hour premiere came in second during the 9 p.m. hour behind an original episode of “Desperate Housewives” (7.2), but it handily won the 10 p.m. hour. What’s more, “Gladiators’” final half-hour was its highest-rated, with a 6.1, which bodes well for the true test of the show’s strength when the show airs tonight in its regular time period.

MSNBC called the program “an awkward start,” but still “a thrilling television event.” BuddyTV said it’s “cheesy fun.” The Onion wrote, “After two grueling hours, I want my brain cells back.”

Even Monday's episode was a hit going up against the National Championship Game......

Meanwhile, NBC's "American Gladiators" made a successful transition to its regular Monday 8 p.m. slot......Airing against the BCS pregame/game on the East Coast, "Gladiators" (4.8/12, 10.9 million) was down a modest 19% from its big premiere Sunday and posted the best nonsports ratings for the night.

I love it too. Wolf is my man, although a little scary. Did you see the Marine mom who cracked her head on the underwater pole and finished the course with blood running down her face. I'd love to be on something like that but the gladiators would kick my butt and Helga would hurt me. :?

I thought it was great. I was shocked at the lady who cracked her head open during the swim. You could tell it shook her up.

What got me Instructor is that on several occasions I have queried him about what is under that ballcap he always wears. I assumed he was either bald or balding but he denied it. You can well understand how taken back I was when I seen him hatless and beheld those breath taking long golden locks spilling down on his shoulder for the first time. What a virile looking man your Cutie Pie is!

I'm kinda disappointed though as it appears your Cutie Pie shaves his chest, arms and legs. You like that in a Cutie Pie?
