Ambulance Chasing Attorneys
Two weeks ago today my son flipped and totaled his car in Ohio. He and the other boy who was in the car with him only got a few bruises but they had to cut my son out of the car to get him out. The other boy was able to exit the car through the back glass.
Anyway...the car is registered in our name, not the son's and....the other boy let us know and showed where he had already been contacted by a law firm in Columbus, Ohio last week offering their services. Sooooooooooo that meant before a week was up, they had found out about it and mailed the flier with the accident report and all. He says he's not going to sue but..a little more pulling?

The same thing happened to me Kantucky last summer. A lady hit me and was cited and before I had all the insurance paperwork done I had received paperwork from an attorney with the accident report (which I sort of appreciated, just for the fact of record), even advising me to have any medical problems checked by a physician. I had no intentions of sueing, I wasn't hurt other that stiff and sore the next day, which a couple of Advils took care of but you wouldn't believe the friends who also advised me to go to the doctor and collect on whatever amount the lady's insurance would give. I just kept saying...but I wasn't hurt. I'm not going to sue for something Advils take care of and a lot thought I was crazy.
And you're right, the fact that the attorney's send this stuff out so fast I'm sure convinces many to sue and the majority of insurances will pay up and in turn cause everybody's insurance rates to creep higher and higher.

hard to believe ballparent. We'll be on pins and needles wondering if he's going to sue. He had his guitar in the back seat and it got broken, we bought him a new one yesterday out of our own pocket. I'm not saying that had anything to do with anything, we had planned on doing it anyway. One thing though, you were hit by a another party at least.
biggdowgg? I could well imagine any attorney could get rich representing either of the two of you (provided you have good insurance, suing someone for a Gremlin and an 8 track collection isn't that they usually go for)

Things must be hard for the lawyers since they are sending out flyers
Hope things go well for you and your boy kantuckyII

When my wife was in that schoolbus accident in late 2000, i received a deluge of mail from lawyers all over Ohio, and some from other states who were licensed in OH. But I had already selected a lawyer!
I believe ambulance-chasers have a problem with having enough clients.
One, whom I thought was a lawyer at first almost received a thrashing from me. Turned out it was a member of the Jabroney False Witless cult who wanted to tell me what a sinner I was for allowing my wife to receive blood while she was unconscious. Glad he wised up & drove off before I could reach him or I mighta needed another lawyer!
