Crude prices extended their march into record high territory Thursday, shooting up more than $2 a barrel as a falling dollar and the prospect of lower interest rates attracted more investors to the oil market. Retail gas prices, meanwhile, rose closer to records above $3 a gallon.

I have been conserving for quite a while(in more ways than one) and I really didn't have to. That's one of the problems with so many people being able to afford the high prices. When you still have big suv's and 4 x4's passing you at 70-75 on the 4 lane they still don't care.

The only thing I see happening is a depression and its not really far away If I had $$ it would not be in any money markets banks etc. right now...

Actually how bad of a mess are you in I listen to the news media but I don't know anyone personally who is doing that bad. People were saying the same thing when Bill Clinton was at the top of the heap.

I am not stupid enough to believe everyone is bad off but I am smart enough to know this country is in the worse shape it has been in for a very long time. Are you that blind that you can't see?

That's my point. I listen to the news media and how bad things are but the people I know are going on with business as usual and prospering. If you think our country is so bad you should go visit a third world country and then come back and realize how blessed we are Why do you think that everyone wants to come to the US This is the land of opportunity and everyone in the world knows it but us. If you want to prosper here you can. There are all kinds of opportunities. The shape a lot of people are in is their own fault

i leave the house about 4 times a month. but our family has 3 other cars on the road every weekday. and most of the weekend. and i heard i think, in venezuela they pay like 28 cents a gallon, is this true, and how, if it is. heard it on tv.
