The Marshall festival of bands.
The best band in the small band competition was no doubt the South Point Marching Band of Gold. Man no offense guys but State was rough but you guys fixed so many problems in a week and that is why I love you guys. Hard work and determination.
The best band in the big band cometition in my professional opinion would probably have to be Cabell Midland. There was other okish bands but I liked Cabell. The show was pointless though....I dont understand how those movies are related but good job overall.
I would also like to mention something else. I dont know what in the world some band directors were thinking when they put the show together because it was probably some of the horrendous things Ive ever heard and seen. Get your crap together or go home.

Re: Marshall Festival of Bands
I didn't get to see all of the bands, because I was going around to most lots, so I can't say who did the best overall.
But of the bands I did see:
Princeton I thought had the best marching of the larger class.
Huntington High's basses were so freaking good it was insane.
Midland had a pretty good sound, and their forms were nice, even though the concept was a little cliche. I liked Nitro because I love Madison '95, haha.
I thought Green did a very, very good job. They had all of their crap together and I thought had the most solid show of the 2nd part of the contest.
But I think all of our southern ohio bands did pretty well! =)

And thanks anonymous. State was definitely NOT one of our better perfomances, but I think we ended the season at Marshall with our strongest performance we had all year long.

Re: Marshall Festival of Bands
There were a lot of very good bands, as always....
Green had an outstanding performance... They were selected best band in their class, and their color guard also received top honors as best in their class.... Congratulations to Mr. Edwards and the Green High Band for an outstanding season...

Re: Marshall Festival of Bands
Believe me when I say the quality and level of bands has greatly improved at Marshall's contest over the past couple years. From the tiny A-1 bands up to the large AAA bands, everyone did well, and I am so glad you all came to Tri-State. Thank you to those Southern Ohio bands who helped make this the LARGEST Tri-State Marching Band Festival to date with a total of 38 bands. We hope to continue growing next year, and invite everyone to come back next year.

Is there anywhere on the 'net or in print where we can find the final results of the competition?
