Re: FOUND - small Beagle dog

I've seen the size and number of animals you already have YTB - this poor little beagle wouldn't stand a chance in that company - not only would he be unable to compete for a bite of food, he might BE the bite of food or get smothered underneath them.
He got loose, got out of my yard, and ran off again early this morning; but he always seems to find his way back to my house in a few hours! When he first showed up, he was so clean and apparently well fed that I thought for sure he had to have been someone's pet. But no one has claimed him; he seems not to know how to walk on a leash; and when he has been loose and got out of my yard he has always managed to find his way back here. So if he really "belonged" somewhere else, wouldn't he have been able to find his way back there? I really can't afford to keep him much longer. Having 2 dogs is just too much, and he gets either tangled up or loose and out too often for me to continue keeping, caring for, and worring about him.
9/10 - He's loose [pulled out of his collar] and gone again now. If he shows back up here, he's going to the pound. I've spent 5 weeks [and a fair amount of effort and money] trying to find either his previous home or a new home for him with no luck at all. I'm tired of dealing with him - I quit.
