I had read and enjoyed many books set in Cornwall, SW England. I mentioned or passed them on to my father. When he signed up, years ago, for a 2-wk tour of Great Britain, he extended his stay with an additional week in a Cornwall B & B.
So he visited that specific area in person - took pictures and told me all about it.
I have also loved books set in Australia. I'd have liked to travel to both.
But when I was physically able, I couldn't afford it - too busy working and supporting my children. Now I can barely travel 100 miles, let alone thousands.
