I liked all of the above movies. I also have a favorite that doesn't have all the fighting scenes, but is during the war. The Great Escape is still my favorite.

actually watched Saving Private Ryan last night ... the first 3-40 miuntes left me shaken , stomach in knots , tears in my eyes .. had a lump in my throat ... finished watching it and couldnt hardly get to sleep . the sacrifice our military men gave was un measurable . MD

I believe some of these war movies over-glamorize the true events. It has been my experience, those who have faced danger on the battlefield rarely speak of their experiences! They despise WAR and the commercialization of it!

I've watched most of those listed above. One of the first I saw as a kid was the Green Beret, John Wayne. Hopefully, if kids are watching, parents are talking.
