As long as politicians number one concern is reelection and staying in office, we will never seriously reduce any debt. You cannot be re elected by making the decisions that have to be made. When we elect officials that are more concerned with the future of America than they are about a career in Congress or towing their party line, we may see change. Until then we will cater to the American voter. Increasingly we are becoming an entitled society. If we get those people to the polls and cater to them, we will be re elected

Stop with the entitled society nonsense...............by your logic, Obama would have won West Virignia, Mississippi, Alabama, etc. etc. etc..........................the poorest states in the country. By your logic, Romney would have won New York, Connecticut, etc. etc...............the richest states in the country.
The states that are "makers" voted for Obama. The states that are "takers" voted for Romney.
