Wasnt a terrible show, but I had no clue what the point was.

I agree. Perhaps that's why it was axed. Makes me question the wisdom of whoever let it air to start with.

Loox as if ABC has closed "The Gates" about a Chicago cop who moves his family to a nice "gated" community where he's chiefa police, a place haunted by werewolves, poltergeists, etc. Not too many people haunted the seats in fronta their boob tubes to watch, so "The Gates" is now closed via the cancellation axe.

"Law & order: Criminal Intent" is making its LAST season. It'll finish airing in 2011, hopefully receiving a fitting closure, as it's a venerable, long-running show with a consistent "following".

The whole truth about "The Whole Truth" is that it's CANCELLED. A rare failure for Jerry Bruckheimer, the show will air the resta the eps already in the can, or scheduled to be made; it'll end in December this year.

Not a bad show; as a former cop I can tellya it shows a fairly accurate depiction of how a criminal case is prosecuted and defended, from BOTH sides. Too bad its Neilsens were too low.

Heard that AMC cancelled Rubicon. I wanted to watch it but never got around to it.

Also, FX will probably cancel Terriers which upsets me very much as its my favorite new show (slightly ahead of The Walking Dead) but I guess the Nielsens are BAD.

ABC has cancelled Scoundrels, a summer series about a family who's had more than just a few run-ins with the law. It wasn't too hot; a mere 3.3 million watched the last ep. That's disastrous for a major net, even in the summer.

Its official Terriers has been cancelled by FX

The CEO said at a press conference that he loved the show, but it wasnt feasible to renew it with how bad the ratings were.

NBC has cancelled Undercovers, a show about two former spies married to each other who are called back into action when a close friend goes missing. Not a bad show, but the NEILSENS were low & the axe swung. Two eps will remain unaired, at least for the time being.

The CW is ending Smallville, its long-running show about a young Clark Kent/Superboy. It didn't flop; all concerned believe that after 10 years, it's run its course. It'll run thru Spring, 2011 & doubtlessly be available on DVD.

Another good show that's ending(unwilling but forced cancellation) is The Closer. The show still had good ratings but star Kyra Sedgwick wanted to move on. It had a good 6-yr. run.

I believe the CW is doomed.Their one star, tyra banks, is losing steam; her latest show was a flop, and America's Next Top Model is slipping badly in the ratings. The CW has been airing mostly reruns, and reruns of reality shows don't draw any more viewers than an evening of old CONELRAD tests.

Their latest reality trash, Shedding For The Wedding, isn't even drawing 900,000 viewers per ep. I dunno if it's worth beans or not, as I don't watch reality garbage anyway. It's as if someone is wanting the CW to fold, as they've kept the incompetent Dawn Ostroff as programming director.

Other news-The FX net has cancelled Lights out, about an aging boxer who risks death/paralysis by returning 2 the ring, or must take menial work 2 try 2 support his family.

ABC has cancelled venerable soap operas All My Children and One Lift To Live. Each has run for over 40 years. No firm date on when the last eps will air, but ABC has promised to give them the dignified endings they deserve.

Bravo has cancelled The Real Housewives of D. C. (as if anyone really gives a hoot)

Speaking of endings, is there anyone else out there who remembers the ending of the Ma Perkins radio show in 1960? My late mom shed a quiet tear at the end of that show which she'd listened to since she'd been a little girl. I fewlt the same why when Howdy Doody ended.

NBC has unceremoniously dumped "The Paul Reiser Show". The last ep aired didn't even have 3 million viewers.

NBC should just give up on making new shows. They are all crap. Instead, NBC should air reruns from it's glory days.......

Cosby Show
Family Ties
Friends
ER

I bet reruns of those iconic Thursday night shows would have higher ratings than the current NBC Thursday night lineup.

Speakinga NBC, they just now officially cancelled School Pride, a reality show that had the lowest ratings of any show on any major net for the 2010 season.
