I think what he is complaining about is this: In Scioto County for about a week now you have the majority of gas stations at $2.75 and then you have a few (I know of one in Clarktown on rt. 139) at $2.58. Then you go to Pike County where their prices have been in the $2.40's for over a week.
I did hear a story where a station owner near Muletown called another owner near Clarktown and tried to get him in trouble with his fuel wholesaler about his low prices.

Yes I know the GOV can tax gas. I was talking about LOCAL government not STATE. Can counties, cities, townships, etc. tax gas.
Gas is $2.45 at the BP in Latham. 5 miles down the road it's $2.62. Guess where I'm filling my tank up this afternoon.
I have some 411 about diesel. I was told that the price of diesel is still HIGH because diesel is actually the fuel that is converted into and the production is cutback to produce home heating fuel. So this gives us an early look at the cost of home heating this winter. Everyone better do as I am going to do and get a heat pump put in. My brother-in-law put one in and he went from filling up 4 times during the winter to 1 and his electric bill only went up $40 per month and the fuel savings more than paid for the electric bill.
