What I object to is Ryan targeted 54 year olds for reductions. 55 years and older are home free. No one said anything about 40 year olds. He is an influential policy maker. No, phase in cuts if we are going to do it. Or cut across the board for everyone, even those drawing now. See how that flies! We still have elections, you know! Or are THOSE what leads to defeicits?

I don't agree with everything RYAN says or suggests. His age is a starting point for compromise/discussion/debate though. Both political parties are dead wrong for the way they communicate to the American people. What I don't understand, Ds have been all over this site and media complaining about 2 unfunded wars, and I agree with their assessment, but Rs and Ds both are willing to run up deficits in support of their pet programs. We have to start somewhere and the sooner the better. Electing poor presidents and legislatures are exactly the reason why we are running record deficits. They are after all the bill/law makers.

he has been on here constantly for more than seven years.... which would make him 58 when he started. if he can put a quarter million posts on here, don't even try to tell me he couldn't have been doing something productive with his time and efforts. there are plenty of jobs out there for typists, etc., but some choose to just suck on the govt. teat..... 47%.
