OPSWA membership drive begins
Information is in the mail for the 2007-08 Ohio Prep Sports Writers Association's membership drive. The group is open to any writer at an Ohio newspaper who covers high school spots. An attempt has been made to send information to last year's members plus sports editors or some writer at the various daily newspapers and many of the weekly newspapers, but some may be missed because a complete list of last year's members has been misplaced. If you are interested and have not received material in the mail by Tuesday or Wednesday of this week, give me a call at my home - (740) 593-3646....leave a message if you miss me. We have a writers and photography contest ... deadline to submit material for the contest is Saturday, Jan. 26.
I never played sports but have followed them, especially at the high school level, for 50 years. I also compile boys and girls basketball coaching records, present and past.....additions are always welcome ... home address is 71 Sunnyside Drive, Athens, Ohio 45701.
