If we were told why are post are being deleted.

The other morning I lost 750 post and sometime from when I signed off this morning and now I lost another 50 or so.

Seems like if some topics could be locked to keep from the posters getting out of hand all could.

I don't mind getting post deleted if I knew why.

Maybe its just a way to take my post away

I'm doing some updates to the website.

I pruned a bunch of topics that does not effect your post count but some of the topics were not able to be pruned so I had to manually delete them.

I did this so I could back up the data base because I am going to update the forum to a new version of php.

What forum are you losing them from? I haven't really paid any attention to my number but I will now....is that how you notice they are gone?

The problem is mostly from old polls. If you look at the old post they are all polls. You may lose more post when the update is done. Let me know what your post count was if you lose a lot so I can re add it back to what it was.
