up until now I have been fairly quiet and private about this.

Mom had on and off chest colds last summer. and then she got it really bad in the fall. We knew her immune system was weak. So We still thought it was just a really bad chest cold.. But it went on and on. After some tests in December, she was sent to a CANCER doctor in Columbus. We found out that the disease had advanced and spread so rapidly. Her liver which was already in bad shape.

She is now getting so weak and sick. She may not have much time left.

I moved back in to take care of her in February. Every day I have with her is a blessing. I cherish every second. we have always been so close.

My mom always took care me. She watched over me. Now I am taking care of her and watching over her. My mom was always strong. It is so painfull to see her slowly fade away.

It is just so hard right now. I dont think I could get through this without the love and support from my fiancee. This is also testing our relationship.. being a part, but it has brought us closer together. She is here on weekends. But we miss eachother so much during the week. its hard on us.

please pray for us...

I know my mom will not get better. but I pray for her comfort and peace.

she may be in heaven soon. thankfully she is saved. she will be in a much better place.

Sorry to hear about your mother newlex. I'll keep her in my thoughts and hope she has no pain.

Just keep doing what you have been doing. Right now thats what is important. You have been doing a wonderful job with her and done things that most people wouldn't be able to do. You will never be sorry when she is gone that you didn't do everything you could for her and she knows what you are doing for her . Just remember what I always tell you, make sure you get some time for yourself as well. God bless you and your family.

She isnt awake for her bath yet this morning. but that is great because she is sleeping peacefully after a couple of rough days and nights.

the next really nice weather day. I want to get her outside and let her breathe some fresh air into those lungs. she loves spring.

she is a great mom. I love taking care of her. it brings me a bittersweet joy. I am going to stay here with her through this until she is free from all pain and suffering.

newlex, i've been praying for you all, since i found this out. give me a call. don't let go of the fact that god is still in the miracle business. but i'm surely glad to hear shes living for jesus. and if she does not live here. the next time you get together it will be forever. ytb.

Last night I found a bible my mom gave me for christmas in 2004. I never realized how special it was until last night. I saw it as just another bible.

no words. just tears..I went in and quietly gave mom a kiss and watched her sleep for awhile.

mom is in great spirits today. and she is up on her feet. The 3 of us are getting some ice cream and going to the park.
