Re: SKYBUS Airlines closed
Just reported on the news this is the fourth airline this week who has called it quits. All state the price of fuel as the main reason why.
Anyone want to stick to their story that the oil thing isn't killing this country?

newarkcatholicfan: all those dems in Congress have to do is say when and we can start drilling on our soil.
Re: SKYBUS Airlines closed
And you really think a few hundred thousand more barrels a day is going to help. We consume all we produce and another 21 million barrels. The next closest consumer is China consuming 7 million barrels. The Dems have it right. Force this country to start to look for alternative fuels. If we had done this back 74 we wouldn't be in such trouble now.....

Re: SKYBUS Airlines closed
COLUMBUS, Ohio — A board member of bankrupt Skybus Airlines said he was unaware until last week that the company's financial problems were severe enough to shut it down.
Robert Milbourne told 10TV's Kevin Landers that the airline did not have available cash to pay mounting fuel bills.
Milbourne said that the company approached potential lenders last week for additional money to keep the airline operating, but Skybus was not able to raise enough funds.
"In the end, we really had no choice but to shut it down," Milbourne said.
