I am assuming its for political fundraising so if it is:
Have a bean dinner you know when the York twp. has it and the democratic candidates show up there they always win :122245

Yep, you are mostly right. Also, I'm involved in other organizations that definitely always need money. It's always good to find out the creativity everyone else has for any organization they may support.

We do have two bean dinners coming up and a turkey dinner. But food fundraisers can only go so far.

whodey,

Put together a summer open wrestling tournament. I'm sure you could find some guys from back in your day to help you out with this. NY used to do one and usually cleared $3,000++.

We like to do Home Run Derbys . We also helped with A dog show. Last year we did a little majorette competition which was an easy thousand dollars. But what ever type of fund raiser you do, try to get as many things as you can donated so you will make more money.

You can actually have tons of ideas for a fundraiser if you're creative enough. Sometimes, it depends on the event that you're raising funds for. If you're raising funds for educational purposes, then you should come up with fundraisers catered especially to the students, like conducting games, selling candy bars, book drives, teen discos, karaoke nights, sponsored outings... mainly events that students can participate in. If you're raising funds for political purposes, think of events that are appropriate like auctions or raffles, sports tournaments, online fundraisers, social events, or grants. Or you can have garage or yard sales, benefit concerts, car wash, and many more.

The list goes on and on, you just have to know what will work for you, and what will suit your organization. If you're stuck, turn to the Internet for more options. There are lots of resources and sites dedicated to giving you fundraising ideas. Keep in mind though, that you can't just decide to do a certain fundraiser, and just hope for the best. It takes some analysis and careful weighing of pros and cons to be able to pull off a successful fundraiser. Just be sure that whatever you decide on, it will draw the interest of a paying crowd.

Some fundraising sites..
Innovative Ideas for Church Fundraisers
School Fundraising Ideas
Fundraising Ideas Store
Fundraising Blog

Hope that helps :122245
